Why Member Business Solutions?

Member Business Solutions (MBS) is a credit union service organization (CUSO) started in 2003 that has grown to serve partner credit unions throughout the country ranging in size from $5 million to more than $4 billion in assets with their business lending needs.

Beginning as a commercial loan underwriting and documentation company, MBS quickly realized the need for multi-faceted business lending and servicing was not being met in the market. We expanded our services to meet these demands and to allow our partner credit unions to remain competitive in the business lending marketplace, and we are proud to have helped our partner credit unions do this for the last 10 years.

MBS is wholly owned by Corporate One Federal Credit Union. We provide services to natural person credit unions and are structured as a limited liability company pursuant to the laws of the state of Florida.

What We Do

MBS offers business loans to partnering credit unions as well as underwriting, servicing and documentation services for loans. We assist partnering credit unions in developing member business lending (MBL) policies and procedures. We help structure loan and member business loan pricing, participation servicing and brokering, as well as providing consulting on deposit, merchant, credit card, remote deposit and marketing to our partnering members.

We offer a business-ready, start-up package that allows credit unions to enter the business marketplace quickly and successfully.  This package provides sample policies, staff training and underwriting services designed to meet policy requirements. As a result, credit unions partnering with MBS have the infrastructure necessary for meeting regulatory requirements and plenty of operational support.

Our approach frees credit unions’ internal resources to focus on growing the business services program. By centralizing credit analysis, underwriting, credit policy and back-office support, MBS offers the tools and operational expertise needed at a fraction of the cost of starting a program independently.
